Whether it’s a Graduation date, an Ordination anniversary, or a professional Induction milestone, acknowledging these dates creates a personal connection that goes beyond standard business communication.
MyCo now allows you to track and automate these significant milestones. By configuring your Anniversary Types at the account level and assigning them to your contacts, you can ensure that a personalized, celebratory email is sent every year—completely on autopilot.
For example, a Professional Association wants to celebrate Induction dates:
The Setup: They create an "Induction Anniversary" type and link it to a "Congratulations" email template.
The Result: Every year, on the exact date a member was inducted, they receive a warm, automated greeting from the association without the team lifting a finger.
Steps
Here is how to configure your account-level settings and start recording milestones for your contacts.
Step 1: Setting up Anniversary Types
Before you can add a date to a contact, you must define what kind of anniversary it is in your settings.
Navigate to Settings located in the top navigation bar
Scroll down to the Business Rules section and click on Anniversary Types.
Click to add a New Anniversary Type (e.g., "Graduation Anniversary").
Assign an Email Template: Select the specific email you want the system to send automatically on this day.
Set the status to Active and save.
Note: You can edit or delete these types from this screen. However, for data integrity, a type cannot be deleted if it is already assigned to a contact.
Step 2: Recording Dates against a Contact
Once your types are created, you can apply them to individual profiles.
Navigate to Menu > Contacts and select the specific contact.
In the contact's profile, find the Anniversaries section.
Select the Anniversary Type from your pre-configured list and enter the specific Date.
Save the profile.
Automated Email Reminders:
The beauty of this feature is that it requires no manual daily maintenance.
Once the date is recorded and a template is linked to the type, MyCo’s automated reminder system takes over. Just like birthday or notable date emails, the system scans your database and triggers the configured emails to be sent on the correct anniversary date.
